Hot Ribbon Applique really is beautiful. Basically you cut out your applique (flower, bird, ???), fuse it to your background fabric, and then, instead of stitching around the applique, you fuse down the Hot Ribbon, to seal the edges of your applique.
It is most suitable for wall hangings inasmuch as they are not laundered. I have plans to make one for myself. Have fun!

Lennie Honcoop.. she is an artist from CA. She has a retreat in Tahoe in April. I met her when she was in MN, my friend Yvonne intro her to me.

the appllique is so easy, and the ribbon slides around the flowers so nicely. Love it

I have always wondered what it was! Thanks for asking about it. I may try it after Christmas when (hopefully) things aren't so crazy.

It looks like something I would enjoy doing, but WOW is the ribbon expensive!
    $2.00 a yard...
Am I wrong? has ribbon gotten that expensive?
