You don't want them to blend - the curvies being in the doggie bits would heighten the contrast between the background and the pup - and you would be able to see the pup on the backside of the quilt too (I'm sure this is terribly important to your cousin's dog!), especially if you SITD around the pooch.

Ha! I'm sure it's not that important to Chuck the weiner dog, But I'm trying to learn what looks best before I use my skills on something that took me months to do
the back side is really cool too btw. I used an old shirt that feels like suede leather

Yep, I vote for the curlicues too! I think it might add movement to the quilt. And doggone, that sure is a cute quilt!!!

That is beautiful. No sure exactly how to quilt it though.
