What was I thinking?
I'm trying to sort out my odd pieces of materials, and came across a small bag of 120 - 8" x 2 1/2" strips sewn onto
120 - 2 1/2" squares, all strips ans squares are different patterns. I don't remember sewing them, or what I had in mind. Anyone any ideas?

As one who LOVES scrappy quilts, I think you found a treasure! 2 1/2" squares are known commercially as "mini charms." If you google "mini charm quilt patterns," you'll find lots of ideas for using them. Here's one website to get you started: http://www.craftsy.com/blog/2013/11/...-and-projects/

Here's one idea of how they might be used. You would have to be careful of the use of light dark combinations.
The color is the 2.5" x 8" rectangle; the white 2.5" sq. is used as a snowball for the colored rectangle.

I love a pattern that I think is called "chicklets" for little squares. My favorite uses a black background and the squares are sewn together to make a mini around the world pattern (I think -. it has been a while since I've seen the pattern)
