Default What I Wish For

I wish they made rulers with a red edgeing, don't know if its my eyes or what, keeping trying to cut rulers rather that fabric.

Would using a red permanent marker on the top edge, or cutting side of the ruler help? Another thread was saying that they had a ruler made from plexiglass and used a permanent marker to make the lines.

I understand paint pens hold up better than a marker, and won't rub off onto fabric. Perhaps marking on the top of the ruler would work, so any rubbing off would be on your fingers, not the fabric. I've also seen rolls of thin colored strips of cling film at Joanns for marking rulers.

I have a problem when I first start to cut with cutting my ruler instead of the fabric. So I painted the edge of my rulers with nail polish. Works great! And if you need to still need to see through it use a light color and the lines should show through.
