Default Software question

This is for those that own embroidery machines, is there a cheap or free software to download to catalog designs, or one that you prefer even if it cost why you like it over some of the cheap ones, because I need to start organizing my desings

Yes, a great organizer with folders already named--tho you can change them. From Secrets of Embroidery... http://www.secretsof.com/content/608 ... read the page and click on the "this link" and read all instructions so you can install it after downloaded. It is free. There's another that I have, but can't remember the source right now.

Hi, I bought a Babylock Elleageo Emb-sewing machine 2 months ago. I've downloaded a few designs from one or all of these sites. My goal was mainly to use my macquilt more then embroidery Embroidery Library, Quilting Stencils, Embroidery Designs and I bought 2 Anita Goodesign CD's that I really like. Hope this helps.

Try Embroidery Library - just do a search for them online.

http://www.spoolsstash.com/ another site for a free ''organize program"..also many pre-named folders for you to categorize your designs...and can customize the labels to your needs.

I don't use any of the software, I just make my own folders. I have a master folder I named it "Embroidery", in that I have made subfolders. Some have generic names like flowers, bugs, dogs, cats, etc. Others are named by designers, like Anita Goodesign, Loralie, Etc. Some have subfolders in subfolders, like the subfolder I named "Holiday" has subfolders named Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc. It is so important to get them organized in a way that you will know where to find things. Once you get them organized remember to back up your computer files in case of a computer crash. I backed mine up this weekend and I have over 65,000 designs, that's a lot of designs to look through especially if they were not organized.
