Default What kind of thread do you use for hand binding?

Do you machine thread or thread for hand stitching when sewing the
binding to the back of your quilt.
    TIA,
    Elaine

I usually use Coats & Clark of the closest color I have to the binding and backing. If I take my time the stitches don't show anyway.

Mettler sewing thread. I don't like Coats and Clark because it strips off the poly core and makes lumps in the thread.

I use good quality thread usually my Aurifil. I use one strand and do the lock stitch at the start with my needle so the needle stays threaded.

I have Connecting Threads and Coats and Clark. Both are fine.

Aurifil 50wt usually, though I have done some with leftover hand quilting thread just to try to use that up.

I use whatever is on hand and is the color I need. Could be hand quilting thread or general sewing thread. Does not matter to me as long as it is the correct color.

I bought some C&C quilting thread long ago and if the color works, I use it. I find that quilting thread doesn't tangle as badly as plain thread.
