I haven't read all the book, but most pics show this quilt with
a black BG.Is there a reason for this? My fabric has very little BG & is cream.Once blocks are made, will I need to use a black BG? Just trying to
get all my ducks in a row before I start cutting. Will be a learning process for sure.

You can use any Background you like. It just seems like black makes everything POP

Mine was black because I liked the fabric, just go with what YOU like.
I have just gotten some fabric to make another one, they are additive, lol. Don't forget to post some pictures.

The quilt top that I made using Cutebuns tute had a cream background too. It is more subtle than the ones using a black background, but I like it just the same :D:D:D

I did one that had leaves in the background and different birds. It turned out good. I think you can use whatever for a background.

Background on a One-Block-Wonder? Hum-m, I guess I do not know what you are talking about then because my One-Block-Wonder quilt was cut totally from one piece of fabric. (see photo below) There were no backgrounds. Somebody explain to me please.

All hexagons in progress taken from one piece of fabric below

Very pretty blocks. I've seen pics of ppl laying them out on a BG, mostly black.

Guess I'll know more....hopefully, when I read the book thru.

I think you can do them with a background or without.

I made one from grapes print, and used a dark ornate print as BG.

I wonder if you are mixing Stack & Whack with One Block Wonder? It gets confusing.

The first blocks above are OBW, and they make their own backgrounds. The next pics are Stack n Whack and they are often show-cased on black.

    Does that help?
