I need to amend my post-I forgot the patterns Cuppi made me of my dogs! I am making a Doxy for my sister, a Boxer for my DS, and one for me of my precious Rocky! I hope mine come out even close to as nice as Cuppi's! Those will be my next "must makes"!

At this time my "must make" projects are to finish projects I already have started...have way too many ufo's and working at finishing some before I even think about starting something new. That said, I do love making table runners...a great size project...I finish them. Large quilts I get the tops done, and they get set aside.

I needed a break from quilting and decided to use my left-over sheeting to make rag rugs.
I wound up going to the Thrift store and bought 5 flat sheets (including 2 King and 1 Queen size)
and have been having a great time cutting up sheets. No,I don't tear them because of the fuzz that goes up my nose.
But i have had a grand time stitching the l-o-n-g strips together and rolling into balls.
Making rag rugs were the thing to do in years gone by.....a way to us up old clothing and worn sheets.
Getting back to basics is what I call it. Waste not - want not. So the box is about empty and i have some new rugs.

I think table toppers are real popular right now...especially the one that you use the 60 degree ruler on.

Only thing that come to my mind is the twister quilts they seem to be all over. I fell in love with the shamrock and cactus. I'm going to make a long overdue NM quilt...

#1 piecemaker you'll do great with the story book. I made a couple when I ran a daycare at home and they are so easy and fast!! I still have mine, didn't realize it til the other day when I was looking at our library downstairs.

also called the HOTDOG pillowcase...I don't care for this method because the Flange ends up upside down..drives me nuts! SO, I either french seam, serge or just leave it with pinked edges! Depends on if it is for sale or family!

Anyway, saw it on-line on one of the many free sewing newsletters I get and decided to try it. It was really easy, and really handy! I will try to post a photo in the next day or so. I am also going to make a purse from a pair of my DS jeans. Think I will see if they sell with my purses at some craft fair I hope to find. My next quilt will be my Whitework Sampler, lots of applique and I am really looking forward to doing that!

we need pix AND a tute! These sound adorable!
