Mine is trimming selvages off the material for backing. Don't know why. Also, if I would have known how much ironing is involved, I might have thought twice about this quilting thing. The ironing doesn't bother me much any more.
Welcome to the Quilting Board!

Cutting is my least favorite thing. It always seems to never end and I just want to get to the sewing part. I don't mind ironing.
I do my own FMG on my domestic and getting the top, batting and back basted is the least favorite for me. The smaller quilt projects not so much but when they get to be queen size and larger, you need space to do this. It still is the most satisfying part of quilting when I get it done though and I can take credit for the whole project. Just my thoughts.
squaring up quilt tops, especially large tops. YUCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't have any dedicated cutting space yet.
The part I dislike the most is loading it on the quilt frame.

Everything between the finished top and the binding. I don't mind binding because it means I'm almost done. But I hate basting and quilting. For this reason I hope to one day have a long arm.
I don't like the ironing part. I have gotten used to it, but I don't like it. I also am not found of winding a bobbin. It seems silly to say that, as it sure doesn't take any time, but I sure put that off. Yeah....I know, I could buy pre wound bobbins, but I am too stubborn to do that....Gotta have something to complain about!
