I haven't tried the Irish one yet. I have seen the French publication. It is very nice too.
Don't you just love the Australian Quilters Companion?

For me, it's seems to be more fun if I can browse the mag racks each month... I enjoy buying the mag more than from a subscription, and I really look forward to reading it. AND to the next trip to the store to see what new quilting mag has newly-arrived. I manage to buy most of them I guess, and it can be a bit spendy. So, it is an indulgence.

I lived for a time in Australia in the 80's. I became familiar with the Australian and New Zealand quilting and sewing magazines, but can't remember actually buying them while there. It was only after we left, and then went back for visits that started buying them to read on the plane. Even though I learned HOW to quilt from my granny, I learned from those magazines that I HAVE to quilt. And quilt I do, every chance I get.

All the "down under" quilting and sewing magazines are first rate, and just about every woman I knew while there sewed. From sewing clothing for your kids and as the years pass, on to quilting. A natural progression. A lifelong pastime for (mostly) women to enjoy.

Nice to hear from you. I particularly like the work of Robin Falloon. Her shop, the Bon Bon Shop, is on line. I check in on it fairly often. She does beautiful work and has a blog too.

Well, just an update. It looks like Fons & Porters, Love of Quilting will be getting our ad money, this month. $550 a month! And that is for a small business card size ad.

Thanks for all the replies. I looks like this was a popular post.
