I was browsing through a local ReStore and saw a Singer 301 with the cabinet for $75. The machine looks great and the cabinet is in good shape. No scratches or damage that I could see. At first I thought it was a Featherweight but noticed it wasn't. Would this be worth the price?

I'd suggest you take some scrap fabric and thread and try sewing on it. Also, fill a bobbin to see if that works. If it works properly, it is well worth the price.

    I agree.

You can also google Singer 301 Reviews to get some other views about it.

I just bought a 301 mint condition except no bobbin case at a tag sale for 30.00 and invested over 100 to get her working properly and it was well worth it...Love her...
Then I just bought a 301A in cabinet off Craigs list for 110.00...in mint condition..only needed a good oiling and again well worth it...
I say no matter get it...It's worth any investment to get her running
