It's been a couple of years now since we had fabric in the Wal-Marts near me. Their "regular" fabrics - the ones they always stocked, by Springs or Fabri-Quilt or VIP - had been $3.96 and then they jumped to $4.40.

I was just wondering, with the latest round of price increases by all the manufacturers, what Wal-Mart is charging for these fabrics now.

Maybe someone out there knows?

$4.44 yd still here, has been that price for a while. There have been a few bolts I have come across that were $5 something a yard over the last year.
Our Walmarts seem to be a bit more than in other areas of the USA :( I am wondering how much they will go up after the 1st...

A lot of ours are now $3.97 and $4.97. Some are up over $5.

I was wondering... because Cranston/VIP has raised our wholesale price 35 cents per yard this past month. I would assume that they'll be raising their prices to Wal-Mart, too.

I wonder if Walmart gets a better deal than regular shops because of the volume they purchase? I have been told by a small local grocery owner that on some items Walmart is selling it more cheaply than he can buy it because of volume discounts.

The majority of the quilting fabric, including Cranston, was raised from 4.44 to 4.96, a few months ago at the store I go to. There is still a line that has 4.44 and one that is less than 4.

All the Wal-Mart's around me have gotten rid of their fabric. I sure do miss it.
