I used to tell my parents when I was teaching that I preferred, if possible, that they get Crayola crayons because the colors were true, they were made well, lasted longer, and had passed all the different requirements here in the US as opposed to the cheap ones from China. When I showed them side by side with the "cheap" ones they could really see the difference. Same thing with their markers. I am really sold on the Crayola brand.
And I love your story about the pencils. I will definitely be looking for them!

I think Crayola is finally listening to people and are making coloring 'implements' for the older set that needs them for other things than coloring in a color book. Great for them that they have risen to the needs of us quilters.

I was in a quilt store and they are now using Crayola crayons to color a block and then you embroider the block! It looked so amazing that I just might have to take the class! you do need to use special crayons for this project not just any old crayola crayons!
