    there is a ric rac stylin' tutorial that uses bricks instead of half square triangles...

    I know you're not a fan of the bricks and stones pattern but she was drawn to it. I personally would bite the bullet and do the pattern. It would mean a lot to her to get the one that she picked out.

    That is what I think too. Especially if you are making it for her.

    Thanks for the replies, Mamagus, your quilts are really pretty. Every suggestion I have received, I have sent to my sister, we will see which one she picks. BTW the quilt is not for her, it is a gift for a family member on her husbands side who is chronically ill.
