I'd keep the silks for crazy quilts, pincushions, etc. I would call local schools and senior centers to see if anyone wanted the other stuff.

Don't know if I would do Goodwill anymore. I watch a truck come to pick up items from a neighbor and even before the truck left a guy was going through the boxes and putting things on the side......?????.....kinda gives me the idea that they were for 'him'. I would hope any donations I give would at least go to the Goodwill shop to be given to someone who doesn't have a job and couldn't afford to buy them before someone driving the truck started to pick out all of the 'good stuff'... But, I guess it's a personnal choice.

Our local church uses everything for their charity quilts. Perhaps one of your locals would accept it, or atleast some of it.

Is it useable for Dresses for Africa. Nancy's Notions has all the details. A yard or less makes one dress. Just an idea. This week I have made 54 dresses with "cleaning out the unwanted".

Our charity group uses cottons for kids quilts and gives everything else to the Indians who make great use of it.
