for doing the Just One Star blocks? I got Lily & Will II 2 1/2" squares. I am trying to think of what I can do with them; maybe the center of a log cabin? Would love some great ideas without having to buy more fabric.

Do they send you one set for each block sent in ? How many blocks did you get in the set you sent in ?

I sent in 4 blocks and got one little pack. I thought someone else on the board mentioned that they had received some blocks from Moda. There is also a nice postcard-type thank you. I don't remember when I sent mine in, but received the pack a week or so ago.

There are 42 squares in the pack.

I put mine in my scrap bin. I'll use them when I use scraps.

Moda is a fabric manufacturer. A couple months ago they sponsored a program to make quilts for our injured soldiers. They asked for one block which was a star block to be made of red or blue and natural. We were asked to put our name and the state we lived in on our block. Their goal was to make 100 quilts to be handed out on Flag Day. So many of us here on the board and elsewhere made star blocks and sent them off. In return we got, unbeknownst to us, a little packet of 42 2 1/2" squares of one of their lines of fabric. The deadline was May first. We are hoping they were able to make many more than 100 quilts.

If they do that again, I would be honored to be a part of it. Carolyn
