Thread: What is your favorite block size to work with?

I think my favorite is 8 inch. I really don't like 6" and smaller...way to small pieces and it takes a million blocks to make a quilt. What about you?

I pretty much don't care. If I like the block, I'll make it. I just don't like a ton of seams. My Sister however hates anything over 10" and sticks mostly to 8"

I like 6"

I like 8 to 12 inch blocks.

I like the smaller blocks usually 6 inches.

12 inch.

9" finished and under. Larger only if it is a truly multi-piece block

I like 6" and 8 or 9" blocks.

12" blocks

I think it depends on the pattern. I might use a 12" block for a dresden plate..... and a 4" block for a baby quilt. I like variety so different block size makes different looks.
