I'm hand quilting a Sunbonnet Sue quilt that I hope on finishing someday. No time frame as I made the top twenty-something years ago. No rush here just a few more stitches every day.

I am retired also. I just do what I have to do. And the rest of the time, I do what I want to do.

I usually have a list with the next 4-5 steps of 5 quilting projects. I like to cross off steps as they are completed. My projects are in various stages of completion so I am able to add projects as I finish one of them. I don't give myself a deadline. But I find it is much easier to stay on track with a list.

I am in the process of trying to sell my house, so I have LOTS of goals. I am doing one big project every day, ( like packing all the books around here, or maybe cleaning a closet out. Then I reward myself with time in my sewing room the rest of the day. Have company coming this weekend, so I want to finish making bags for the girls, pillow cases for the boys, BBQ Mits for my son and I have one DGS that still does not have his queen size quilt. Think I can get it all done?

I am retired and my time is my time. Sort of! Just finished a UFO except for the label. Sandwiched a quilt and decided how to quite it. Then decided to make a couple of table toppers to give to friends over the 4th of July holiday. Have them ready to be quilted and have the design ready to go. And there are always other quilts to be quilted. Love to have several projects going. Need something to work on when I cannot sleep at night.

I have not set any goals. Today is my first day of retirement. Two weeks ago I got the fabric for my niece's wedding quilt. I also got invited to another niece's baby shower. I will start on those after I finish the quilt for a friend's grandaughter tonight and a friend's chemo quilt. Both of those have the top done and I am going to macine quilt and bind them this weekend.

Since I'm still working, I'm lucky if I can sew on a work day! SO I don't set goals per se, just try to finish a quilt if it's for a specific person/occasion
