You now know why my sister and her husband moved away from Lake Ariel 1 1/2 year ago! Nothing much happening there!

I think it sounds like you had better take some hand sewing project with you to keep you busy! It is a good way to relax!

I thought you were going to show us a picture of something you are working on. It sounds like a great name for a quilt showing underwater stuff.

I am laughing at myself as I thought you were hinting there was something in the water such as 'nessie'.

so i'm back from lake ariel. i thought the place was absolutely gorgeous. There were wonderful beaches around the lake. all very well maintained. there was catch and let go fishing, which is good for the kids. there was jet skis. plenty of outdoor sports; a wonderful recreation center and fantastic exercise room. not to mention golf course, which i would not be interested in. there have food menus all day. for $25 you can get prime rib for 2 dinner. the planned activities were quilting 2x a week; cards, shooting a gun, photography, dancing, exercise. whatever you can think of i'm sure they had it. yes, at night it is very quiet. but so is the block where i live. homes can be purchased for $100,000. 5 bedrooms/3 baths/3 levels was $150,000. taxes $1,000; which compared to my neighbordhood of five hundred thousand and better; w/taxes of $10,000. i think its a great place to retire. and not a bad place to live.
