I started sewing on my Wal-mart TURNING EIGHT kids quilt this afternoon. I filled two bobbins and just ran out. I'm making it 5 blocks across and 7 blocks long. I've got about 3 more rows to sew together but ran out of the second bobbin.
What the heck----------it's break time. May not pick up again til morning since it's late afternoon.

This is the first time I've bought a pack of fat quarters. I got 8 pretty batiks for $12. Looks good using the turning twenty pattern. Made 37 blocks from the pieces and laid two aside. Pictures later.

BTW

VOTE TOMORROW, if you've not done so already!

I thought they changed that voting thing. Only the Republicans were scheduled to tomorrow and the Democrats were scheduled to vote on Wednesday....or is it the other way around ;)

I'm going tomorrow. I didn't hear about separate days for the parties.

can't wait to see pics! I like to take breaks. I've got three kids and my back feels like it's on fire if I sit and sew too long(same goes for sitting at the computer). So I'm always getting up and walking away from projects and I'll go play with the kids and go back to sewing and back to the quilting board.

Everyone votes on the same day. I am always up and down when sewing. Maybe 30 Minutes sewing at a time. I find I actually get more done this way. I do not get so tired.
