    It depends on the block. If it's something easy like a log-cabin block, I usually chain stitch pieces 1&2 together for all the blocks, then press. The I chain stick #3 on...etc. But if it's something I have never done before or looks a little trick, I will make a practice block and then decide where to go from there. I made a bunch of "Daisiez" blocks and made each one individually. I changed the way I cut them for each block so they would each look a little different.

    I do chain piecing as much as possible. However, I usally make one block up totally because I always get antsy to see what the block will look like.

    I usually do one block at a time. I gives me a full pattern to follow because sometimes I get the triangles mixed up.
