This morning I was reading the posts via digest. I saw a picture of a purse and for some reason I thought it was called 'ButterNut Purse'. There was a link to download a free pattern. Now, I can't find the original post and when I search for butternut purse, I still can't find it. That's obviously not the name of it. It has a paisley band and a brown suede looking body of the bag.
I can't wait until I get really old and stupid.....................

I didn't see the topic today, but a few people have posted a picture and link for "The Buttercup Bag". Perhaps this is what you were looking for.

Thanks.
Thanks.
On the trim at the top, I used Decor Bond fusible stabilizer to give it more body. I think any heavyweight fusible would be fine. I used fusible fleece (pellon) on the lining and in the strap. I trimmed away a bit so it would just get caught in the stitching of the lining. For the strap, just one piece the finished size of the strap. The suede like fabric I used for the outer part of the bag was a little heavier, so I did not put anything on it. I also added a 2nd (larger) pocket on the other side.
