I find most of my threads (for top quilting I use polyester) and get from Connecting Threads and Golden Threads also has a good selection of stencils - you might also try golden threads paper - works great!

Connecting Threads has really good thread A big cone (5000) is 9.99 and all their colors come on a spool of 1200 yrds. That is $2.49 a spool. They just finished up a sale that went on most of the summer 30% off. I really stocked up Oh, yeah the big cones only come in white, cream, beige (sp) and back

try "patchwork plus" and "quilt in a day" for stencils.
