I found a few online but was wondering where you find your patterns for the beautiful doll quilts you have done.

Same here.... or I'll see a block I want to try and base it around that.

    Anything goes, pretty much. :-)

I just make something up or see something big and figure out how to make it small.
Right now I'm flopping on ideas for this months. Have made blocks, but don't like them when they are done.
    Nothing is appealing to me.
Think Mardi would mind if I just sent the fabric and said it's unfinished? lol

    momto4,

I'm planning to make some doll quilts for my granddaughters for Christmas. Since I'm more of a wannabe quilter than an actual quilter, I feel more comfortable using a pattern at this point. I went to the book section on Amazon, then searched for "doll quilts" and "miniature quilts" and found some books I thought might be helpful. Then I searched for those titles on my library website and was able to order some of the books from other libraries.

Good luck with your doll quilt!

    Sandy

Don't forget to search the Google engine for "Doll Quilt Patterns" or "Miniature Quilt Patterns." There are tons of free patterns on the internet. Also, you can use small quilt block patterns and put them together. You'll have so much fun making these little quilts. I find them quite rewarding.

I'm not creative enough to make anything up, so I look through magazines, books and online. If I see something I like I print it out or bookmark it for future reference. Sometimes the fabric will dictate the block, like it did for the October swap you'll be receiving soon! :P
