    Default Where to donate UFO's

I organized my sewing room and frankly i have many UFO's I don't want to finish. Anyone know any charities who would want them to finish? I would also donate to board members. i will pay shipping.

There is a group of ladies that are in my quilt guild that make quilts for the needy. Every year they give away around 150 quilts. I am sure they would love the donation. If you would like to send them to me, I will be sure they get your donation. Just let me know.

I quilt with two church groups that make quilts for nursing homes, youth homes, homeless shelters and anyone in the community that a quilt would put a smile on their face.......We would be happy to receive these........I would be happy to deliver them to these quilting groups. We meet at each church once a week and quilt most of the day. Always enjoy a nice lunch prepared by the quilters. We have made quilts for a group home for expectant mothers........The quilts are for their little ones upon their arrival..........Once we were ask by the home to make 12. They have group meetings for these young ladies.......Prenatal care, informative meetings organized by nurses. and sometime a doctor will speak to these ladies.
You are so kind to share with others.

    Happy Quilting to you.

The Wounded Warrior Program has long arm quilters who will finish them and get them to our wounded soldiers.

Do you have a local quilt guild that donates charity quilts? You may be able to drop them off locally. The local guild I belong to takes all kinds of donations. They take UFO, destashing, most anything quilty. They have received such items ad an vintage hand sewn quilt top which they raffled off at a guild meeting and use the money for batting and such for charity quilts. If you don't have a local guild, I would deliver anything you would want to donate to mine.

Look for a Project Linus in your area. They take UFOs.

Thank you, scraplover for stopping here with the address. I couldn't find it. I bookmarked it and will try stay off here and work on something. Not sure if will be RWB, but the site said that wasn't necessary. They want quilts for children of Wounded Warriors, too.

Your very welcome! One of the main reasons I like to donate to them is that they have a LA on site who will finish your quilt for you and it's cold in the hospital and these quilts keep our soldiers warm, encouraged and hopeful!
