I have been checking Joann's but most of the fabrics are listed as delicate in the details. These are supposed to be quilt fabrics. I really don't understand. I want to make a baby quilt so I don't need delicate. I am thinking turquoise and browns with embroidered little cowboys. Does anyone know where I can find some pretty prints online?

Here is where I get ALL my fabric from except for a few panels that I get from another shop. This is my local quilt store but they ship anywhere.

    There are LOTS. I've shopped at fabricdepot.com, fatquartershop.com, fabric.com, connectingthreads.com, I can't remember them all!

I have bought from many shops on line. fabshophop.com has a list of good shops.

I buy a lot from connecting threads and if you check the clearance kits they always have a few baby quilt. I've also bought from fabrics.com

One of my favorite places is http://www.equilter.com/
I've always been pleased with what I order from them. I spend way to much time looking at this site.

When you say that Joann's says "delicate", are you referring to the washing instructions at the bottom of the fabric descriptions? If so, then I would kind of take that with a grain of salt because I have made a ton of baby and donation quilts with fabric from Joann's and some of them have been washed about a billion times in a regular wash load with no problem.

If you are looking for better quality fabric, though, there are so many places online...my favorite is Fabric Shack, and their shipping is only $2.50 for under $75.00. I swear I order from that place once a week.
