    Default Where is my brain??!!

I'm trying to get a lap quilt finished for my aunt. Been busy making doll clothes for the grandbabies' American Girl dolls, and finally decided I'm done with that. So, yesterday, decided to get out the quilt and get going (was basted, but not quilted yet). Do a practice square, make sure my machine is happy with the settings, new needle, etc. First bobbin's worth looks good, considering I haven't FMQ in probably 6 months. Load 2nd bobbin and go happily on my way. 2nd bobbin now empty, look at back...EYELASHES all OVER the place. Apparently, my machine was NOT happy with the 2nd bobbin, for whatever reason. Now, I KNOW that I need to check every time I change anything, but did I? NO. Now I'm picking out a whole bobbin's worth of quilting. Sheesh!

I had the same thing happen to me, only I was micro stippling! Argh, it took me forever. Now I check the backside of my quilt frequently when doing FMQ.

At least it's easier to take out stitches when the tension is loose on the back. (You have to look on the bright side sometimes.)

True, dunster! I took today off and spent it cooking. Tomorrow I'll get back at that quilt. Sheesh. Lol

I'm getting darn good at that seam ripper, if I do say so myself! I even named him Jack (the ripper HA!) Not very original, but I figure if we're going to be such good friends, we might as well be on a first name basis.

I've named a few of my tools, though I have yet to find a name for the machine itself...
