I like both backgrounds; but I think the cream softens the pattern.

Cream has a softer look. White is more harsh (in my opinion).

White is too stark. Use the cream.

The white makes the greens pop, whereas the cream blends. Thinking I like the cream.

The cream seems to me to enrich the dresden colors more. I'd go with that.

to me, it depends on the colors in the room.
If you have both, i like the white.

People keep voting even after you've decided on cream. Smh ....

As for plain vs patterned, I can see why your eyes letting the choices simmer. I'm partial to the cream because it's brighter and let's the plates really shine. But the patterned has a very warm, relaxed feel. Tough one!
