I am getting ready to do a controlled "scrappy" quilt, and need very small amounts of several colors.

I remember reading on the board, someone who works for a quilt shop that said they sell 1/4 yd cuts, but cannot remember who it was. Most places on-line only do one yard or more.

Anyone know who I am talking about? Thanks.

there are many places that you can order 1/4 yard cuts online. I just ordered from Jojo quilt shop a 1/4 yard cut and a 1/2 yard or yard cut. can't remember exactly. there is also connecting threads i believe. you just have to putter around on the web and find the fabrics that you are leaning toward in your quilt. i thought though that scrappy quilts were mostly made from your leftovers bin or fq's.
connecting threads is 1/2 yard sorry about that.

Connecting threads will do fat quarters and there is no charge for the cut. You pay the same as if ordering yardage. Their prices are great too.

I think you are thinking of Favorite Fabrics. She often gives us a preview of upcoming fabric lines.

Thanks for all the help! That's why quilters have such a wonderful reputation for being helpful! The quilt I am planning is a replica of a stained glass window, so it uses several colors, in a non repetitive scattered pattern. Not really "scrappy" but only using scraps.
