A place where you can sell things. Google Etsy & it will take you there.

It is a website where you can make and sell your wares. Go to etsy.com and you will see it.

etsy and eBay have nothing to do with each other. Totally separate entities.

It started out as a place for artists/crafters to sell their handmade wares, as those items got completely lost in the mass that is eBay. Also, for a seller, the fees are cheaper, with a lot less hassle than eBay. But you, as a buyer, get the same protection when buying with PayPal, so it's secure.

For quilters specifically, there is a ton of fabric for sale - most new, in FQ packs and yardage, the majority from well-known fabric companies. There is also a lot of vintage fabrics and supplies for sale, along with some off-the-beaten track fabrics.

Go take a look. You'll get lost for hours over there.

I'm glad Etsy exists. People on Ebay don't appreciate hand made items as a rule. I've seen things sell dirt cheap there.
I don't sell on Etsy so I don't know how well people do but I love that place!

People have built up very nice cottage businesses there. Now, is everyone successful? No. But I guess the encouraging thing is that people (buyers) know to look there for handmade items - especially around the holidays for gifts. So it's nice to see there is an appreciation and a market for these products.
