I was tempted to buy that book after seeing it used on Sewing With Nancy but never got around to it.

After reading these posts, thank goodness I'm "normal" buying things, then forgetting WHY I bought......or having duplicates. I'm getting better about putting pictures, patterns and fabric all in one bag.......sometimes.

I've done that on occasion. At one point in my life I bought some black t-shirt material and some black n white t-shirt material. I don't like black and the black n white was a 1 1/2 to 2 inch stripe. Look like jailbird material. Sooo I tossed it. Got to thinking about the $$$$$$$$$ I was throwing away and pulled it out of trash.

ended up making a king sized quilt out of it. It looks like giant checker board, gave it o my DGS for high school graduation. AND someone offered him $1500.00 for it.

Wow!! I bet you're REALLY glad you didn't toss it!! I think I'd be looking for some more material like that and telling your DGS's friend that you'll be thrilled to make him one for $1500!!

I am feeling so much better after reading all these posts! I've been guilty of all of the above and thought I was the only one, double buying fabric, books and magazines. That just means I really must have liked it a lot to buy it twice
