Why do people cut their fabric like this? Obviously, they cut something out and left it that way. I cut mine clean across and then throw the scraps in the scrap bin. Nice clean scraps.....Otherwise it bugs me! Grrrr... Is this weird?

Because I never know what shape I will need next and tehn I might regret trimming it off. Does that make sense? OK the pieces I am looking at do look really odd. I would have cut off those peaks.

 As long as I can fold it, I don't mind what it looks like. Do you want to see the expensive batik that I fussy cut? You'd scream.

I have cut fabric straight across and regretted it later. It depends on what you finally use the scraps for.

I have been given fabric that looks like that. I just figured it was used with a pattern you cut out for clothing or something. That's why it ended up looking like that.
