Hmmm, I'm not sure those terms go together.

Double faced (to me) means prequilted. Usually it's 2 different fabrics that are sandwiched and quilted.

You could buy it right off the bolt, and then go home and start cutting the pieces for a bag (that's what some friends of mine used it for) or placemats, and just bind it and you're done, as it's ..backed and quilted already.

You wouldn't really use those as a quilt backing. Now, they might make 108" wide prequilted (double faced/sided) fabric. But, again, not to be used as backing.

Maybe double face means that the fabric would be suitable
if used either side. Not sure.

BUT, I've see the pre-quilted fabric called Double-face in JoAnn's and other fabric stores. So you need to see the actual fabric to determine what it is.
