The weeble-wobbles you're getting is part of the nature of the beast in bringing together all the pie pieces of the dresden plate. I have no better solutions than already offered.

Your colours are wonderful! Is this going to be a one plate quilt? Or are you doing a larger one?

Thanks, Charismah. Well honestly, when I asked if it would quilt out I was really being funny, since hearing that song on YouTube. :lol:

I'm all for trying to adjust the seams for making it lay flater, but I really am surprised that it came out this way after I was so careful during the whole process. I didn't even use any steam because I didn't want to skew anything. Hmm.

We'll learn together, then. :thumbup: Thanks for your compliment on the color choices. I'm planning to give this to my DIL for her bday, and think she'll like it. Their house is decorated in shades from creams to browns, so I think this will work well for them.

Thank you for your comments and compliments. This is going to be a table topper, so one unit is all that is required. It will finish at about 26" across.

There are no perfect quilts. A little extra quilting will absord some extra. A little extra will look like the rest of your puckery quilt after it's washed. The video is excellent. We can all learn to better our work-job satisfaction. By the way, I think mitering border pieces is way over-rated. It causes more rippling and excess length (which means puckers) than it's worth. It's a great advantage if it's done right.

I feel SOOOOOOO stupid right now!!! Why? I walked into my sewing room first thing this morning and it suddenly occurred to me... :shock: there's only supposed to be 15 sections in this block - I cut and sewed in 16 sections!! :shock: :roll: :lol: :oops: Oh brother!

Talk about a head banging moment!! Wish I could find that emoticon about right now! :oops:

I love Dresden Plates and this is one good looking plate. Will make a beautiful table topper. Great job.

I just did a Dresden with a pucker in the center and decided that both my mom and a blind galloping horse wouldn't see it. It's beautiful - don't stress.

Thanks so much. It is definitely looking better now that it has the correct amount of pieces in it. I'm doing the decorative stitching on it now, and will post a finished pic in the Pictures section later.
