Thanks everyone for convincing me not to take a chance on using a Sharpie.

I tried a Sharpie once, it was not working as it bled a lot onto the label I was trying to make, so I went back to my trusty Micron Pigma pens, as they stand the test of time.

Just be sure to use the regular crayons. I've seen washable crayons come out partway & Ultra Clean come out completely in the wash even after ironing.

You have to get the really thin ones that bleed less. You can usually find the at joann's and hobbylobby

I have found that they also fade really quick with washing.

I fuse my label to freezer paper to make a stiffer surface and then, as others have said, use micron .05 pens and heat set them. They will last if you follow the directions..

That was my blog, Quilttiger. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to post it here

There are also the Pentel Gel Pens for fabric. Look on Amazon. I bought some of those and they seem to work well.

I got a couple of these. They seem to skip and dry out fast?
