Will Rick Rack Shrink?
#11
Yes, if it is the old fashioned cotton type, no, if it is the new polyester type, ask me how I know! Oh and the new polyester type does not like a hot iron, again ask me how I know that too!

Poly' is a fiber made from oil. It will not shrink or bleed. Colorant is added to the poly' when it is still a liquid and then extruded into the fiber and then woven into whatever ( my

Generally, the newer rickrack won't shrink. Just don't stretch it while your appliqueing it. I've used baby rickrack to applique on Sunbonnet Sue blocks. If you do decide to wash it, be sure to put it in a mesh bag so it isn't so horribly tangled when it comes out of the washer/dryer.
