That's an interesting looking contraption! I've never seen one, so I have no opinion. Waiting to see what others think.

I can see how it would be helpful, but it seems expensive for what you get. It looks like it could be made with a dowel rod, a strip of duct tape and a bent paper clip.

You're probably right on that one. I've got a table mounted long arm and it is set up for cone thread. I've found that when using regular spools the thread either spools off too fast or gets twisted because on a smaller machine the spool rotates. It does seem a little pricey for what it is, but right now time is what I don't have much of and if it works it will solve a problem for me.

LOL -- I can understand paying for convenience!! I do it all the time and then I'll see something else and just totally cheap out on it.
