I found this on a local ad and was just wondering if this is $30 a good price? It says Jones on the sewing machine. I think it might be electric not sure don't see the foot pedal.

The electrical cord is coming out the left side of the cabinet over the top of the machine.
Pretty machine.

Also looks like hinges on the front of the cabinet. If you open the front you might find a knee press lever to operate the machine. I think you got a good deal. Beautiful machine.

Instead of a foot pedal it is a lever activated by your right knee and you pust your knee to the right.

I just got an email back from the people selling it and they said they had bought it for an side end table and didn't use the machine and aren't sure if it actually works. I don't know enough about these types of machines what do you think buyer beware?

For $30 you'll be fine! These machines are usually easily fixed and usually only need a good cleaning and oiling. Billy (lostn51) has a Vintage Machine section that shows how to clean and oil them. He's got all kinds of tips and tricks.

If you can swing the cost of 30.00 I'd sure go for it.
Can't really lose here as it could be fixed if anything is wrong
with it. :D
