Default Would really appreciate some help with QAYG.

Hi, I'm making a table topper and trying QAYG for the first time. I will be using sashing between the blocks and I have a couple of questions. Do I square the block up before I quilt it, and then again when it's quilted?
I would also like to put an outer border on. Is this possible ,as the length will be approx 70 inches? Not been able to find a good tutorial about adding a border. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

If you square up first, the quilting can distort the sandwich and then you have to square again and it can end up being a little short of the 1/4 inch seam allowances. Very pretty blocks!
