Default X's and O's quilt pattern...it's fun

I am making the X's and O's quilt from Missouri Star.

https://www.missouriquiltco.com/shop...-quilt-pattern

She makes it from charm packs. It is supposed to be scrappy, but I have a great deal of trouble doing scrappy, so I decided to make it with my two favorite colors, purple and turquoise....two fabrics of each color. My original plan was to make the X's and O's each one color. (see first picture)

Then I played and rearranged them. I found that pattern pleasing too. (see second picture)

Then I played and kept rearranging them, liking each arrangement. I was amazed at how many different directions I could go with one block. Finally I settled on the arrangement in the third picture. My X's and O's are forming another pattern entirely.

This is fun. (and hard because I don't find decisions easy and I actually liked each arrangement..) But I sure love quilting! Just plain fun. Just had to share my fun.

Dina

I agree the third setting is the most interesting. Nice colors, too.

With those two gorgeous colors you can use any of the patterns with good results.

those colors are beautiful together. Love the last arrangement. the others are probably just as nice, but since we see more in the last picture, it naturally looks better.
