I finally found a treasure at a yard sale. It is 60 x 92 and cost $5.00. It is completely handsewn the old way. No English Paper Piecing. The yellow color is much lighter then the picture shows. If anyone can date the fabric by looking, I would appreciate it. It was a church yard sale so no one knew who donated it. Wish I knew its history.

Without a closeup of each block I would dare to say the 40s and 50s but am not sure. Alot of these quilts fabric could be used from 3 different decades easily. Let's see what others think:)

It always amazes me what someone will sell for such a low price. A few years ago a family was moving and threw out three old quilts that a friend and I scooped up from the top of the boxes. Have problems posting pictures but I will keep trying.

I'm no expert, but I would have to guess 40's & 50's. Seems like there are a lot of plaids and checks that I remember my mother using. I also have a quilt from that time period that uses yellow as filler. Just a guess.
