yes the cleaning I can muddle through the mess unless it gets really bad. A lady wanted some cushions which i made she visited me and then told me i was untidy! They can't have it both ways either I make things for people or I make things neat and tidy, I prefer the makling

I take it one step further... I see clothes people are wearing and imagine the quilts I could make. Or I say to the DH "I have that fabric!"

I've done that a few times! We were driving through CO on the way to DH's parents' cabin. I had never been there before. We pull into this random town en route, and I say "there's a quilt shop near by". He rolls his eyes. I say "it's getting closer". Sure enough, about 60 seconds later, there's a shop on the side of the road.

Also, we were looking for a shop in Prescott. I had never been there. We had the address, and I pointed at a building about 15 shops down and said there it is. Sure enough, there it was. And from the angle we were at, there was no identifiable markings.

You go on vacation and buy so much fabric you have no room in your suitcase for your clothes (...and I left the clothes with my friend who I was visiting!)

When you go house shopping, an automatic disqualifying factor is if there's not a huge living room/etc for laying out quilts (there was a WALL partitioning off the rooms! Not enough space at all!)

A deal breaker in a relationship is if the guy doesn't like my quilting habit

It's expected that there are pins lying on the floor

Your husband asks how much you got done on your current quilt when he comes in finds no dinner and the house a wreck. Also when he can speak & understand the language of "quilteese" but has never sewn a stitch or advises you on the features he thinks would be neat for you to have on a quilting long/midarm.

"You clean up your sewing room & they think you are leaving"

This would definitely be the truth in my case. My sewing room is so cluttered, if they ever came in and found it clean they would definitely think I had moved out!
