You're sitting at a red light looking at the car tag in front of you with the number 214 and you read it as 2 and 1/4! LOL!!!

....you see a person with a houndstooth check sweater and you wonder how you can translate it into a quilt pattern.

You doodle on whatever is handy to practice continuous quilting designs...... Wet finger on dry cement while sunbathing, soapy finger on shower wall, eyeliner on bathroom mirror, back of shopping list while at the grocery store, sidewalk chalk on driveway, on church bulletins while staring at the ornate ceiling in the cathedral, the spoon in the bowl of mashed potatoes while clearing up the leftovers... Yes, I'm guilty of all...

You watch a commercial just so you can look at the quilt in the background. I never did this until I became a member of this board. Now I see quilts and patterns everywhere! haha

A person singing in the church choir has a skirt on that would make a really cute quilt!

Definitely when floor tiles inspire a new quilt block, or color combination!

I realized how bad I was when I went to Italy for a vacation and spent A LOT of time looking at (and being overloaded by) all the quilting ideas!
