I love the purple sashing and borders. I might do a thin framing border in the yellow and then all purple...of course purple is my favorite color and I love it when it is a deep, rich looking purple.

Just to add to your confusion...since the blocks are flowers, why not some sort of green for the sashing...in real life flowers would probably have green around them. Maybe you could find something predominantly green with either or both some tiny bits of yellow and purple....

I would look for some sort of pattern with both colors for at least one of the borders. It will add more visual interest.

This makes for an interesting idea. Are all of the blocks the flower? I would put some more color in either the slashing or final border JMHO
