    Zentanglles

I recently went on a Zentangle course. We used permanent markers for the filled in areas. This one I made got wet and look what happened.
my question is as anyone else had problem with permanent markers running. Also any ideas on stopping it happening on the one I'm making now.

Try a little nail polish remover(non acetone), I've had markers on my clothes from the office and this removes it, use a cotton bud and start in the middle of the run.

Oh no! I can't think of anything that would remove it without making it worse. I would try any products on a scrap first.

How about trying rubbing alcohol. I had success with it removing ink.

Cheap hairspray works on ball point ink...perhaps here too. l'd test on scrap first.

This was going to be my suggestion. Works great on ink. Needs to be aerosol spray.

Did you heat set the ink on this? If not You could try that on a scrap to see if it works and then use it on the new one. Also, you might want to check out fabric markers for the future.

I had checked the markers by making small coasters and washing. The black became slightly lighter not running.
I've purchased a new permanent marker checked it with no problems. Thanks for your advice.

i will try heat setting as well with the new ones.
