Where can I get good quality quilting flannel online inexpensive for all those baby blankets? Everything I have found is just to expensive for my taste by the time you pay shipping.

I have bought good quality flannel at our local JoAnn's when it was on sale -- I think for just $2 or $3 a yard. Don't know for sure if the same flannel is offered on the website, but I would think it is. You do have to wait for flannel to go on sale, though.

JoAnn's sometimes offers free shipping coupons. You can check the website for current coupons and also sign up for emailed coupons. I never joined their online "club" so don't know if that is worthwhile or not.

Actually, I just checked http://www.joannfabrics.com and they have all of their "snuggle" flannels on sale right now for $3 a yard. Have no idea what the qualify of this flannel is; the stuff I bought was a marbled solid color and washed up beautifully with little shrinkage. I have purchased flannels at warehouse stores, though, that shrank about 25%!

What I do, before submitting an online order for anything, is Google "coupon code store-name" to see if I can find an online coupon for an additional discount or free shipping. About half the time I can find something I can use at checkout.

JoAnn's has free shipping on orders over $25 right now too!

Here is a direct link to their sale on flannels (just 3 days, I think):

http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat3597

Here is their free shipping coupon code:
"Use promotion code SAD043 for free standard shipping on your order of $25 or more through Sun., 03/01/09 12:00 AM PST.*"

Happy shopping!

I fund a pillowcase project for sick children. The kids prefer the flannel because it is soft. So I buy hundreds of yards of flannel. I buy the snuggle flannel, it is a nice quality. I will also buy the quilter's flannel there with a coupon. If you belong to a sewing or quilting organization, you can get a 10% off card for Joann's too. It is not good on coupon items, however, snuggle flannel on sale is about 2.49 a yard and then another 10 per cent off. It helps a lot.
