I sent her a PM, too! I came over because a friend said I would love the bright, loud swirl fabric - that is my kind of fabric! I love the fabric in the quilt in your icon!

Lovingisabella, I see some green in the fabric and you said she liked green, if were me, would audtion a light green, not to limey, but a green that is close to that value, you will see a large difference in your fabric as well as not get that harshness that the white is bringing out. The white looks good but makes it crisp, a green would soften it much more, the yellow green I believe someone mentioned, that would be nice. You are right, the black would make to dark and would not see the pattern. If the green is not a go, use a pale blue color that leans more towards the white than the black. That may also be work.

Didi...Okay...here goes...Have you heard of jelly roll quilts? Well my screwed up idea is a deconstruckted sunflower. I would use different shades of oranges for the sun...the next part would be different yellows and just small pieces of brown {sunflower and seeds} and then the bottom different greens {for the grass, stem, and leaves}. I would actually do it in three sections and then construct the quilt. Now that is just an idea. Don't be afraid to say no. I did see another way to go but I cannot find the pattern again. But I will. Just let me know what you think I know you said traditional and that really wouldn't be and may go on the brighter side. Just let me know. You all have a great day!!!!!

okay i have picked a pattern and went shopping for background material (which i never have enough on hand ever). Also picked up some other prints that i liked in the store but now that I have them home i'm not so sure they suit the pattern i want to do. Am sitting back and letting it percolate in the back of my mind. we shall see what transpires. In the meantime, I shall catch up on my NYB blocks and PaintmeJudy's Mystery quilts.

Boop, Oh my Gosh, I love the colors of the material, where did you get them?? The sunflower sounds good, but complicated, but I do like sunflowers.....I also like the other material, so ether one will do...I will like anything that comes to mind...I love surprises. I guess the reason I like traditional is that is all I can do.. LOL

FYI, girls (since it seems we're all girls), I'm around, but busy with work. Please be patient. I'm going to look at the remaining registrations now and see what I can do. For the moment, I'm not taking any more registrations than the ones already sent in as of this time stamp.

Sorry to ask the remaining ladies to be patient.

Back in a bit...

Oh, I want to show some of the fabrics chosen for my partner (QuilterMomma), but until help arrives for posting on the Mac I'll just have to wait........colors are blues, creams and browns...had some civil war fabrics and got a few more...hope it all looks good together..two blocks done...hopefully a sneak peak on wed or thur....love looking at all the fabrics being pondered.

Hello Didi {again}. If I go with the fallish colors here are a few more fabric choices. If it is okay for a 60" by 60" [well of course a little bigger} what do you think of the middle block being the pumpkin? I received it but can't fit it into anything yet. I have all these types of fabrics because I love fall colors and sunflowers and roosters. So all those type of prints go together. Just let me know. Any ideas ladies?
