I remembered to send a PM to our fearless leader to let her know how far along I am on my partner's quilt. I think that's worth a piece of candy, don't you. (Pavlov's dog never had it so good!). I am working away on the quilt plus I'm doing two table runners and a row robin. I think I'll be in my sewing room for the rest of the month finishing up. Have a label to finish on a quilt I'm entering in a show tomorrow. No rest for the wicked! Sharp needles everyone.

Hey Libby how's it going. I am sorry I am not chatting more with you at this stage it has been craziness Is that Grand baby here yet?
Hi Mary Beth, I have been MIA for the last couple of weeks. The grandbaby arrived the 29th, I left to see him that weekend. I just got home today, going through emails and catching up on the posts. He has grown so much in just two weeks, won't recognize him when I go back. I haven't started your quilt yet, but still have a couple of days before I go back to work. I have it all planned in my head, will see how it translates to fabric. Glad all is going well in Oregon! Talk soon.

I am finally getting over the cold/flu so that is why I have not been on board much. My back is getting a bit better, meds are alway fun and PT is a challenge, but hopefully will be the trick. Just now getting back to sewing a bit. Was a whole month that I jus did not have any energy to do much at all, just my row robins. But Linny will be getting some sneak peaks soon.
Glad you're doing a bit better.....PT worked wonders for me, hope it will for you. Oh, by the way, I LOVE sneak peeks!

Wow I accidentally jumped in a room with.. EXPERTS! AHHHH!!! well my partner loves me regardless of this grand faux paux.. Today was such a great day I wanted to share. I have now cut all but three blocks of my pieces. random i know but i just cut a bunch then took those hst's an 4st's and then sewed those pieces together so another day I can sew rows and blocks and THAT is a great day. I felt real scared suddenly I wasn't close enough to making it here but woke up with a just do it attitude and I am so thrilled. I think I can finish this top this month.. quilt it next month and bind it in April and send it to it lovely home with Twinrivers. I love it btw. i hope you will too. yahooo! I did the judys mystery quilt approach. cut.. then sew individual components and now I can sew blocks and rows.. that is the smart way to do it. not one block at a time.. good plan yes yes it is!

Miss Brat, I have a question for you. I usually wash quilts before they are given, but some do not like the wrinkled look. What do you like? I am getting so excited and curious , but I will be strong and not beg for a peak! But you just relax and take your time or it won't be any fun for you. Quiltermomma, get better before trying to be superquilter, you hear me?
DH home now and surgery was a success. I can breathe again...

Progress report: I'm approx. 25% finished with the quilt top and should be finished with the top by mid- to late March.

Check in. I am almost done with the appliquee boarder. As soon as I finish the blocks I will assamble it and assess the need of another boarder. I love it. Hope Nurse Bomnie will too.

I dont usually wash them unless there is an allergy issue (cats). No matter how hard you try to keep hair off it there is always some in the air I think. I am picking right and left to get it off. I do brush them first I am fine either way you chose Twinrivers. They all get cleaned though i prefer to dry clean a handmade quilt. Lots of time and love go into them .. unless its a baby quilt then you have to wash them so often its not feasible... small items tablerunners etc they go into the wash for sure. just the way I like to do it

today if company gets in their car and leaves at a reasonable hour I can reset my sewing table and spend the day sewing. shoot its already almost 8 get up why dont you!! lol I am ready to sew. Mornings are my prime time. put on some Italian love songs and open the front door for fresh air a cup of joe in one hand and fabric layed out on my table. What a glorious morning that is. so.. maybe I will go bang a few cupboards? accidentally start the dishwasher or.. call the office from the house phone it rings here and is super loud would I do something like that? um.. yes yes I would.

Big decision day....do I play it safe with a cream colored thread for quilting or go with the color blue..hmm...maybe I need some expert advice on this one.

Play with the color. My quilter unwinds a whole lot of the threads we're auditioning and puts them all over the quilt top so see how they might look in all the different spots on the quilt top. Sometimes that really makes a difference in how the thread color actually comes across.
