Didi, what is your situation? Have you been in contact with your partner?

I've been quilting all day long on all my days off other than doing whatever errands need done like mowing, laundry, grocery shopping, etc

The good thing is I'm really clearing out my DVR. I've watched the entire season of "The Following" along with tons of other stuff I recorded

Should be done soon!

Andrea, my partner has had eye surgery, so is a little behind. I hate that you haven't heard from your partner. Last year that happened to me, so just hang in there and Juliann will help you. I know its hard, when you are seeing all the nice quilts, it will be worth it when you get yours...

Maybe those who havent heard from their partners can work with Jillian to perhaps swap with each other instead? so no one is left behind. I understand eye surgery can slow things down but if they are not talking its not good at all. So surely there is a solution to that mess. Ask Jillian if that is possible. its a shame when you work so hard on a quilt and then someone goes missing. I hope you have held onto yours and havent sent. Then it would be really unacceptable and those people should be given negative feedback by the host and the partner so that there is a warning flag in other swaps to not allow these people to play until they are cleared of back commitments. Just my humble opinion. I know I do it in my swaps .. its not ok to go MIA and then just waltz back in to do it again.. no way.

You all may remember last year's swap, where I was an abandoned person. Everyone came together to specially make me a quilt (thank you!), and I will be very happy to help do the same for any of you! One good thing this year is that no quilts were sent before confirming a swap was happening. Last year I had already completed and sent my partners quilt to her, and never heard from her until months later, when she actually e-mailed me to tell me how much she was enjoying it! But she never made one for me. Hey Brat, how is the new place? All settled in yet?

My sweet partner loving grandma and I are staying in touch...we have both had a few delays but expect to be done very shortly and swap our quilts. You are right that communication makes all the difference. I would also be happy to add to a quilt for anyone that does not get their quilt...I have been in that situation too and it is hurtful. The quilts displayed in this swap are just beautiful.

My partner and I have been in contact during the process just a couple of times. Last I heard from her was close to the deadline late June. She offered me extra time if I needed it but didn't say she needed extra time. She mentioned she might be traveling to FL but didn't say when. I think she will be back, it is just the waiting and luck of communication what is bad.
thanks all for your support.

I was in a swap last year and my partner went MIA. Come to find out she unexpectedly was put in the hospital, ever since that I let my hubby know what swaps I'm in so if something happens he can let my partners at least know what's going on.

My partner and I are in touch with each other, just a unexcepted life crisis, eye surgery. She needs prayers from us, I would hate to loose eye sight even just a little where I couldn't do quilting. The surgery is later this month, so please keep her in your prayers. Oh, its Boop56 (Peggy)
