I buy all colors of toe separators and then match the thread to the toe separator.

HI Barbara and all you wonderful ladies, I have enjoyed all the tips on Tuesday and spent over an hour looking at the web sights. The rulers I usually use are Omnigrid, the green ones. Others are just as good, just do not mix them with June tailor, Olfa, Fiskars and others because they might be slightly different. I had several blocks off using a long ruler and then a small square of another brand. I try to be precise and most of the time my blocks come out the correct size the first time. Best wishes for a great day tomorrow and the rest of the week.

I have two brands of rulers:

I have Omnigrid (yellow lines)
and Fiskars (black lines)
My favorite are the fiskers because they have the extra shaded part for the 1/2" and the lines are fine.
I don't like the Omnigrid because the yellow lines make me crazy!

I have not had much luck finding many sizes in the fiskers. I have only two 3 1/2"x 18 1/2" and a 6 1/2" x 24 1/2" would really like to find a 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" or something small in fishers.

I'm starting to receive 'Birthday Candies' I'm not going to open until my birthday when my kids are here. I want them to think I have tons of friends and they are helping me increase my fabric supply !!!

Oh, that's sneaky... LOL. I tried to save mine, but in the end I couldn't resist pouring over them all as they came in.

You do have tons of friends helping you with your fabric stash!!!! It is so much fun to get the packages...last year I waited until my birthday and brought them to my quilt group on Wednesday night. They helped me open them all up! Lots of ohsssss and awesssss!
